Can you believe we’re at the end of August? Do you have school aged children? This is a great time of year to start a new family habit since routines are changing…like having a dinner plan. When my kids were in school I found bulk cooking to be a great help. It was a relief to know there was something to eat in the freezer and it meant we could actually eat an evening meal at home instead of relying on the drive thru.

Feel free to share any bulk cooking or menu planning posts you may have on your blog in the linky. I’d love to see them.

And now…this week’s Featured Post!

Lisa at Syncopated Mama shared a practical idea to make use of old t shirts and other soft fabrics: she turns them into hankies! Ok, it’s a little gross to think about, but really, no nastier than dealing with a full, wet tissue. Plus these are gentler on a sore, runny nose. My father used a handkerchief every day until he died. His were made of linen or cotton with a tiny rolled hem. He probably used two a day and it was my job to iron them when I was old enough for that chore.

Lisa cuts her hankies and keeps a stash handy for whenever they’re needed. I think I would have to get really perfectionistic and cut them all to size and hem them, but if you’re using knit fabrics there’s probably no need.

Feel free to download our Featured Button and display it on your post! I will be pinning your project to our group board as well as a few other Pinterest boards and sharing on other social media as well. I’m sure others will love it, too!

Let’s move on to the round up. Do you have anything creative you’d like to share? We’d love to see it. Browsing through the projects is a pleasant part of my week!

Thank You for sharing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party, and pin our favorites. With so many bloggers participating that means more exposure for YOU! Head over to the other co-hosts blogs to see all their fun stuff.

Thanks for sharing your project with us! Keep an eye out as we’ll be sharing posts on various social media channels during the week. We’re growing and that’s a good thing, although as the party gets larger it will be more difficult for me to visit and comment on every link. So I’m counting on you guys to help out. Please try to find time to visit a link or two yourself and congratulate your fellow crafters on a job well done!

There are just a few simple rules:

-Link to a specific post, not your home page.
-Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.
-Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.
-Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.

Please do not pin from these thumbnails. If there’s a post you want to pin please click on the link title to visit the source and pin from their blog.

Not a blogger? No problem! Anyone with an Instagram or Facebook account can link to a photo of your completed masterpiece or work in progress.

Could you do us a favor and share the party on Twitter before linking up?
