In the meantime, I wanted to let you know about ZERO WASTE WEEK which begins the first Monday of September and runs the entire week. I found out about Zero Waste Week a few years ago when I participated in the Lenten Carbon Fast. You no doubt are aware of the amount of trash your household generates. To be honest I’m not sure I could live in a zero waste fashion, but there’s always some practice I can improve upon.

In 2014 I made a set of waxed fabric wraps that I still use. In fact, I’ve packed one to take with me to wrap food to carry in my backpack. They need a little touch up, but they’ve held together great! Click on the image to find out how I made them.
