You’ve probably seen this image on social media. Well, this week I lived it. Rick had to go into the hospital yesterday for something manageable that turned into something really serious. He has a circulation problem in his lower legs. He’s known for a while. He’s been told to put his feet up regularly. He’s been told to wear compression socks.

He’s ignored all of the advice he’s been given.

In addition to the swelling he managed to pick up a skin infection which his body hasn’t been able to clear. He’s had it before, but never this severe. Anyway, between that and the swelling he was finally uncomfortable enough to visit a doctor who promptly admitted him to the hospital to receive intravenous antibiotics.

Stubborn, or tan burro if you prefer.

This is the second time he’s been hospitalized here. The first was for a hernia operation. Let me tell you, we have no complaints about the medical system. I don’t know if it’s because we have private insurance (a requirement of our visa) or if the system is just more efficient than ours, but there has been no hassle with pre-enrollments, primary care docs or long waits for treatment. The hospital he’s in is within walking distance and serves as the Centro de Salud for our neighborhood as well.

Rick’s one of those guys who always has a joke. Some of them are pretty bad. I kind of feel sorry for the nurses!

Prayers and healing thoughts are appreciated!

Here’s this week’s featured post!

I thought this repurposed denim cropped top from Shania was really cool! I told her my cropped top day are long gone, but she reassured me I could vicariously enjoy hers! You’ll have to spend some time on this young woman’s YouTube channel. She does a lot of fun craft and easy or no sew projects.

On to the party!

Do you have anything creative you’d like to share? We’d love to see it. Browsing through the projects is a pleasant part of my week! Thank You for sharing your creativity with us. Each week we will sponsor a new link party, and pin our favorites. With so many bloggers participating that means more exposure for YOU! Head over to the other co-hosts blogs to see all their fun stuff. Check them out here:

Thanks for sharing your project with us! Keep an eye out as we’ll be sharing posts on various social media channels during the week. We’re growing and that’s a good thing, although as the party gets larger it will be more difficult for me to visit and comment on every link. So I’m counting on you guys to help out. Please try to find time to visit a link or two yourself and congratulate your fellow crafters on a job well done!

There are just a few simple rules:

-Link to a specific post, not your home page.

-Link up something YOU made/wrote/created.

-Giveaways, other link parties, Etsy shops or business links are not accepted.

-Don’t link and run. Try to visit at least one link and show them some love. You may make a new friend.

Please do not pin from these thumbnails. If there’s a post you want to pin please click on the link title to visit the source and pin from their blog. Not a blogger? No problem! Anyone with an Instagram or Facebook account can link to a photo of your completed masterpiece or work in progress. Could you do us a favor and share the party on Twitter before linking up?
